For the Feb. 26 edition of Central Texas Living Ann Harder spoke with Steven G. Knight and Jeremy Lynn Woodall. The duo is part of the band, Jeremy Lynn Woodall and the Grinders.
During the interview, they talked a little about how they got into the music business. Woodall and Knight have played backup for Billy Joe Shaver for many years. They describe their music as 'Outlaw Country.'

“WACO, Texas (KWTX) A Central Texas singer and songwriter who has backed up Grammy-nominated local country legend Billy Joe Shaver as his lead guitarist for nearly 15 years is branching out, dropping his second album titled “Headed Back to Texas.”

The album released Friday by Waco native Jeremy Lynn Woodall is in collaboration with another Central Texas native, Steven G. Knight, a 1985 Midway High School graduate, who plays bass guitar and is the musician Woodall credits for getting his musical journey back on track after the death of a bandmate.
Jeremy Lynn Woodall & The Grinders was formed in 2005 but took a hiatus in 2010 when in the middle of recording their second album, drummer Shannon Bright was diagnosed with stage two melanoma.
Bright lost his battle in early December 2011 leading the band to shelve their second album and performances as a band.
It was during that time, that Knight, a long time bassist who performed the 1980's chart hitting Dallas rock band Bellicose discovered Woodall’s work and eventually talked the group into reforming.”
